The Opportunity:
The Medical Partner is a trusted, externally focused, scientifically grounded partner within our customer engagement model. By building deep and trusted connections with key customers, you will generate impact by anticipating and proactively optimizing medical practice, ensuring Roche is a preferred partner in our key disease areas. You will maximize local and cross-country medical activities to accelerate pipeline delivery, differentiate our portfolio, drive strategic advocacy, and secure patient access through proactive engagement across the asset lifecycle.
đź“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
🔬 A. Contributing with Medical Expertise
- Provide scientific, medical, and therapeutic area expertise to differentiate our pipeline and portfolio throughout the product lifecycle.
- Shape the medical part of the integrated strategy, developing scientifically sound value stories and communicating Roche’s contributions across key disease areas.
🤝 B. Proactive Customer Engagement & Insights
- Proactively engage Thought Leaders (TAEs) and key stakeholders as the scientific expert, aligned with other in-field roles.
- Establish peer-to-peer relationships, provide medical education, and conduct non-promotional scientific exchanges.
- Systematically collect, analyze, and translate insights into actionable recommendations to inform strategy.
⚖️ C. License to Operate & Operational Excellence
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, GCP, GVP, and ethical guidelines.
đź“Š D. Evidence Generation (Module)
- Develop the local Integrated Evidence Plan (IEP), identifying evidence gaps and facilitating Non-Interventional Studies (NIS), Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS), and Real-World Evidence (RWE) projects.
- Support Phase I-IV clinical studies through site engagement, feasibility input, and medical expertise.
đź’ˇ E. HTA & Patient Access (Module)
- Contribute scientific expertise to Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions, ensuring robust, clinically relevant value stories to secure patient access.
- Shape medical practice by addressing medical and customer needs, integrating AI and digital insights into strategy.
🧪 F. Pipeline Contribution (Module)
- Provide insights and actions for pipeline products and new indications, mapping key investigators and engaging stakeholders to shape the therapeutic landscape.
- Act as the custodian of Roche and competitor data, ensuring credible communication of value propositions.

- Manage Medical Information enquiries, safety queries, and external communications with Competent Authorities.
- Ensure accuracy of AI-generated medical content through human oversight.

- Support Regulatory Affairs with scientific input for Health Authority submissions to obtain and maintain product licenses.
👤 WHO YOU ARE
âś… Qualifications & Experience
- Medical, Pharmaceutical, or Natural Sciences degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, or scientific/clinical expertise in a relevant Disease Area.
- Fluency in English (local language as required).
