Job Description
In this role, the Business Excellence Intern will partner with key stakeholders across Takeda’s Singapore site to drive change, promote lifelong learning, and enhance operational processes. If you are passionate about digital fluency, continuous improvement, and project management in a biopharmaceutical environment, you will thrive in this hands-on, cross-functional internship with our dynamic and close-knit team.

đź“‹ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
🔄 Operational Excellence
- Learn and apply operational excellence tools (e.g., 5S, GEMBA, value stream mapping) to drive continuous improvement projects in Manufacturing and Quality Control.
- Support 5S certification for manufacturing and warehouse areas and assist in problem-solving initiatives to improve compliance metrics.
🎓 Learning & Development
- Participate in digitalization projects to transition from paper-based to paperless training systems.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and QC Labs to create on-the-job training materials and digital quizzes in Document Management (DMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Assist in delivering training sessions, including Virtual Reality (VR) training for aseptic processing.
- Help organize and promote lifelong learning (LLL) events and write newsletter articles to share key takeaways.
đź“Š Project Management Office (PMO)
- Support site project governance and assist in preparing materials for Project Management Council meetings.
- Help maintain digital project records (SPOT) and site resource management tools.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure project tracking and reporting accuracy.
👤 PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS OR EXPERIENCE
- Keen interest in the biopharmaceutical industry and operational excellence.
- Basic understanding of continuous improvement tools (e.g., Lean, 5S, Kaizen).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
- A team player eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
