We're excited to offer a Trainee scheme for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Technicians—a talent development programme designed to build the next generation of skilled professionals for Singapore's biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. This programme is jointly supported by Workforce Singapore (WSG) and the Workforce Advancement Federation (WAF) , combining classroom learning with 15 months of local attachment at Roche's Singapore facility.

What You'll Do
As a trainee, you'll be embedded within our maintenance and engineering teams, ensuring the reliable operation of critical manufacturing equipment that produces medicines for patients worldwide.
🔧 Maintenance & Equipment Reliability
- Execute maintenance tasks as defined in Work Orders for facilities and manufacturing equipment
- Review Job Packages for accuracy before initiating work
- Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history records with precision
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections, lubrication, restoration, and repairs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, performing adjustments, rebuilds, and repairs with minimal downtime
📋 Compliance & Quality
- Work in full compliance with cGMP, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) , and Quality standards
- Coordinate Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and follow Job Safety Analysis requirements
- Participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and Reliability Center Maintenance Reviews (RCM)
- Ensure 100% accurate time entry into the computerized maintenance management system
🤝 Collaboration & Support
- Support manufacturing, utility, and engineering services during routine and shutdown maintenance
- Coordinate with maintenance contractors during shifts
- Liaise with MRO storeroom personnel to maintain optimal parts inventory
- Provide feedback to Planners on Job Plan accuracy and quality
📈 Continuous Improvement
- Embody Roche's Lean Production System (LPS) principles
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using LPS tools
- Help develop programs to reduce equipment failure rates
🛡️ Safety & Security
- Comply with all SHE requirements—never putting yourself or others at risk
- Report workplace accidents, near misses, and hazards promptly
- Observe site security measures and report any concerns
Who We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- A Diploma or ITC in Mechanical, Marine, or Chemical Process Engineering
- Strong foundational knowledge of production and utility systems operation and maintenance
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer-focused with attention to detail and thoroughness
- Willingness to work shift hours as required
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend equipment schematics, assembly drawings, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
Preferred Attributes:
- Willingness to work at Roche's Tuas Bay Link facility
- Enthusiasm for hands-on technical work in a regulated environment
- A continuous improvement mindset—always asking "how can we do this better?"
