🎯 Your Hematology Leadership Mission: Key Responsibilities
Technical Excellence & Quality Assurance
- Perform advanced technical assignments and hematology testing in accordance with current procedures and quality standards
- Ensure all testing complies with applicable company, CAP, and Singapore regulatory requirements
- Adhere to internal and external quality control procedures, maintaining corrective action logs as appropriate
- Consult with laboratory management before reporting grossly abnormal results or out-of-control test runs
Laboratory Operations Management
- Oversee daily hematology section operations ensuring turnaround times meet contractual commitments
- Enter and release test results, comments, and quality control data in LIS with regulatory compliance
- Maintain regular inventory of reagents and spare parts, ensuring availability and proper usage documentation
- Assist with maintenance, calibration, and validation of hematology instruments according to written procedures
Team Development & Mentorship
- Assist in overseeing work performed by laboratory staff and report performance to management
- Train employees in hematology section procedures and maintain comprehensive training files
- Provide input on technical student trainees and assist in recruitment and selection processes
- Perform continuing education for laboratory staff on new procedures and methodologies
Quality Systems & Documentation
- Assist in preparing quality control documentation and organizing proficiency testing
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations for quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Assist with batch review and sign-off in LIMS system
- Maintain all paperwork and ensure records are kept current and stored safely per SOPs
Stakeholder Collaboration & Compliance
- Establish strong relationships with internal departments including Project Management, QA, and Client Services
- Interact with clients and auditors, representing hematology capabilities and quality standards
- Assist in writing SOPs, quality documents, and working procedures as required
- Participate in evaluation and validation of new hematology procedures

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or equivalent
- Proven experience successfully performing as a Medical Technologist with hematology specialization
- Previous experience in Hematology laboratory operations and testing
- Understanding of CAP accreditation and Singapore regulatory requirements
Technical Competencies
- Hematology Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of hematology testing methodologies and instrumentation
