🎯 Your Laboratory Leadership Mission: Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Establishment & Operations
- Lead the setup and commissioning of our new Histology Laboratory at Loyang Way, Singapore
- Establish comprehensive laboratory procedures, quality systems, and operational workflows
- Ensure the Central Laboratory meets highest quality standards for clinical research support
- Manage daily laboratory operations ensuring compliance with turnaround time commitments
Technical Excellence & Quality Management
- Perform and oversee technical assignments and testing in accordance with current procedures and quality standards
- Maintain compliance with CAP accreditation, local regulatory requirements, and ICON quality standards
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures, maintaining corrective action logs and documentation
- Oversee instrument maintenance, calibration, and validation according to established protocols
Team Leadership & Development
- Assist in overseeing work performed by laboratory staff and report performance to senior management
- Provide training, mentoring, and continuing education for laboratory team members
- Assist in recruitment, selection, and performance evaluation of technical staff
- Foster professional development and maintain high standards of technical competence
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with all CAP, local regulatory agency, and company testing requirements
- Maintain comprehensive laboratory documentation including SOPs, quality records, and training files
- Participate in internal and external audits, addressing queries and quality issues effectively
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations for quality incidents and implement corrective actions
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Establish strong relationships with internal departments including Project Management, QA, and Client Services
- Interact with clients and auditors, representing laboratory capabilities and quality standards
- Collaborate with Global Laboratories team to align with international standards and best practices
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and quality

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Senior Medical Technologist or Laboratory Supervisor with histology specialization
- Strong previous experience in Histology laboratory operations and management
- Experience with laboratory setup, accreditation, and quality system implementation
Technical Competencies
- Histology Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of histopathology techniques and processes
- Quality Systems: Understanding of CAP accreditation and regulatory compliance requirements
