We are seeking a technically skilled Pharmacovigilance (PV) Systems Specialist to join our global Drug Safety team. In this key role, you will be responsible for the management, integrity, and optimization of our pharmacovigilance databases and systems. Your work will ensure efficient data handling, robust reporting, and strict compliance with global regulatory requirements, directly supporting ICON's commitment to patient safety and effective risk management. Your Mission: Ensure System Excellence for Safety Data
You will be the technical anchor for our pharmacovigilance systems, ensuring they operate flawlessly to support case processing, analytics, and reporting.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous optimization of pharmacovigilance databases and safety systems (e.g., Oracle Argus, ARISg, Veeva Safety).
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with global regulatory standards (ICH E2B, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU GVP) for all PV activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Safety Scientists, Data Management) to develop, test, and enhance system functionalities, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
- Provide expert training, technical support, and guidance to PV team members on system use, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and technological advancements in PV systems to recommend and lead improvement initiatives.
Who You Are: The Ideal Candidate
You are a detail-oriented professional who bridges the gap between pharmacovigilance science and information technology.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in pharmacovigilance systems management, administration, or support within a pharmaceutical company, CRO, or biotechnology environment.
- Hands-on experience with one or more major safety databases (e.g., Oracle Argus, ARISg, Veeva Safety) is essential.
- Strong understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations and data standards (E2B, MedDRA, WHODrug).
- Strong analytical and technical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and database querying (e.g., SQL).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders globally.
