Electronics Engineer– Humidification Technology
Help shape the future of humidification technology.
You will join the Engineering function within the Product Organisation and help create new products, plus improvements to existing ones. You will work in the Consumer and Growth department as part of a cross-functional humidification technology team. The role supportsinnovativesolutions for sleep apnoea, COPD, and other chronic diseasesthat improve millions of lives. Your work will spancomponentselection, circuit design, compliance testing, prototyping, and supplier management. You will also help shape humidification technologies across device platforms, with products designed for high-volume manufacturingtothehigheststandards of quality and safety.
WhatYou’llDo
- Design, simulate, prototype, document, and test electronics that meetelectrical, thermal, safety, regulatory and reliability requirements.
- Select components such as microcontrollers, switching power convertersand sensors that meet electrical, thermal, safety, regulatory, and reliability requirements.
- Develop and verifyanalogand mixed-signal circuits, including work involving PID controller behaviour, stability, and tuning.
- Apply first-principles physics to electronics design across heaters, sensors, and electrical, thermal, and fluid interactions.
- Build embedded and low-level firmware to support lab characterisation, test automation, and prequalification of PCBAs before software integration.
- Design for safety, EMC, and isolation, including protectiveand safety‑critical circuits to achieve single‑fault safety, consideringdielectric strength, leakage current, creepage, and clearance.
- Specification and design of interconnects, including wiring looms, flexcircuitsand connectors, withappropriate electrical, thermaland mechanical ratings.
- Design and execution of laboratory experiments to characterise power consumption, temperature rise, humidity and airflow, using sound experimental technique and Design of Experiments (DoE) to exploremulti‑factorinteractions.
- Documentation in support of product development including design descriptions, DFMEAs, verification protocols, verificationreportsand electrical manufacturing specifications.
- Collaborate across software, systems, and mechanical engineering, while supporting verification, documentation, supplier work, and manufacturing readiness.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Relevant industry experience in electronics design and development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in thermodynamic analysis.
- Experience designing humidification systems.
What Sets You Apart
- Curiosity- Enjoy learningnew technologiesand stepping into new engineering domains.
- Collaboration- Work well with experts from different disciplines and help solve problems together.
- Systems thinking- Can move between detailed technical work and the broader system view.
- Comfort with ambiguity- Help bring structure to complex technical challenges.
- Purpose- Care about improving patient outcomes and user experiences through better technology.
