Responsibilities
Kitting & Fulfillment Operations
- Oversee the end-to-end process of kitting, pick and pack, and order fulfillment across multiple SKUs.
- Manage the full logistics cycle, from component receipt through final shipment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy across all stages using structured workflows and inventory systems.
Manufacturing Oversight
- Work directly with manufacturers to ensure products meet company quality and compliance standards.
- Follow up on production schedules, ensure alignment on specifications, and implement continuous improvement plans.
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Success team to manage customer replacements and post-delivery issue resolution.
3PL Management & SOP Development
- Train and support third-party logistics (3PL) partners; develop training materials and SOPs that reflect our standards.
- Oversee 3PL operations, including kitting, pick and pack, returns, and outbound shipments.
- Write and enforce detailed SOPs for all logistics workflows including returns handling, and monitor 3PL adherence.
Quality Control
- Develop and execute comprehensive quality control protocols for both inbound and outbound processes.
- Act quickly to address defects or inconsistencies; identify root causes and drive long-term preventative solutions.
- Ensure only top-quality kits reach customers, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Process Improvement & AI Integration
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and deploy operational enhancements using Lean and AI-driven solutions.
- Integrate AI tools to optimize decision-making, inventory accuracy, and reporting across logistics operations.
Team Coordination & Communication
- Lead on-site teams and serve as the key liaison for overseas associates and executive leadership.
- Provide frequent (daily/weekly) updates on 3PL performance, fulfillment accuracy, inventory trends, and exceptions.
Collaborate across departments (especially Customer Success and Supply Chain) and time zones (including Asia HQ).
- Travel up to 50% to support cross-regional operations and vendor/partner site visits.
Data & Reporting
- Build and manage robust reporting systems to monitor performance metrics such as order accuracy, turnaround time, and return rates.
- Use data-driven insights to brief stakeholders and drive operational strategy.
- Maintain close oversight of 3PL reporting processes to ensure consistency and transparency.
Experience & Qualifications
- End-to-end experience managing kitting, pick and pack, and fulfillment operations.
- Background in full logistics cycles, including coordination between manufacturers, 3PLs, and customer-facing teams.
- Hands-on experience with training 3PLs and enforcing SOPs across inventory, shipping, and returns workflows.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent inventory management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and reporting for decision-making and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with AI technologies in logistics and operations.
- Excellent communication skills, organizational strength, and ability to coordinate across global time zones.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Preferred:
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement training.
- Experience with inventory management systems and ERP platforms.
