The Role: Impact Through Precision
As a Medical Technologist II at our Loyang Way facility, you will be a vital member of our laboratory team, responsible for delivering high-quality histological data. Your primary focus will be on preparing and analyzing tissue specimens with precision, ensuring the reliability that our clients and regulatory bodies depend on.
Key Responsibilities:
- Histological Expertise: Perform a full range of histological procedures, including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and both routine and special staining techniques.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure all laboratory activities adhere to strict protocols, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
- Instrument Management: Support the operation, calibration, and preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and data accuracy.
- Collaborative Analysis: Work closely with pathologists and research scientists to prepare and analyze preclinical and clinical study samples, providing critical technical support.
- Documentation and Process Improvement: Maintain meticulous records and contribute to the continuous enhancement of laboratory processes, quality control, and efficiency.
Your Profile: Skills and Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of hands-on professional experience in histology within a clinical, hospital, or research laboratory setting.
- Proven technical skills in microtomy, embedding, and staining.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Must be amenable to reporting daily to our Loyang Way office.
Highly Desired:
- Familiarity with GCP/GLP guidelines and experience in a clinical research environment.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
