Data Engineering Leadership
- Serve as technical expert in building data pipelines for clinical data ingestion and delivery across study lifecycle
- Develop robust data pipelines for integrating diverse clinical data sources and formats
- Design and implement scalable data delivery solutions, automating manual processes for efficiency
- Build infrastructure for optimal ETL/ELT processes using AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms
Technical Excellence & Innovation
- Develop and implement comprehensive data integrity and quality checks throughout data ingestion
- Design and manage data warehouses and data lakes using Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, and similar technologies
- Create scalable data pipelines for large clinical datasets with focus on performance and reliability
- Implement version control and CI/CD processes using GitLab, GitHub, and Jenkins
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with statistical programmers, SDTM programmers, and clinical data programmers to ensure deliverables meet end-user requirements
- Work with analytics teams to support data-driven clinical research and decision-making
- Partner with clinical operations to understand data needs across study start-up, conduct, and close-out
- Escalate technical issues appropriately to CDE leadership while driving solutions
