We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Vaccines and Strategic Partnerships to architect the future of our Vaccines Business in India. This executive leadership role carries full P&L responsibility for both pediatric and adult vaccine franchises. You will define and execute integrated commercial, digital, and partnership strategies to achieve robust, sustainable growth, maximizing patient access and shaping the market. Your Mission: Architect & Execute the Vaccine Commercial Strategy
You will be the driving force behind the commercial success of Takeda's vaccines portfolio, from strategy to execution, digital transformation to alliance management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Strategy & Execution (50%)
- Formulate and implement the overarching commercial strategy for B2B (public/private) and B2C segments across India.
- Drive digital transformation, leading e-commerce, digital GTM models, and virtual engagement to amplify reach.
- Ensure operational readiness for launches, public procurement, and NIP entry with excellence in forecasting and distribution.
2. Strategic Partnerships & Alliance Management (25%)
- Identify, structure, and manage strategic alliances with government bodies, private payors, channel partners, and digital platforms.
- Build and scale a robust national vaccinator and distributor network to ensure broad market access.
3. External Stakeholder Management (15%)
- Serve as Takeda’s key external face for vaccines, engaging with public health experts, KOLs, policymakers, and regulators.
- Oversee consumer activation and outreach programs, expanding points of vaccination and integrating digital channels.
4. Cross-functional & People Leadership (10%)
- Lead and develop high-performing teams across Sales, Marketing, KAM, Digital, and Alliances.
- Act as a key member of the India Country Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and organizational development.
- Champion Takeda’s values, fostering a culture of integrity, compliance, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), and patient-centricity.
Who You Are: The Ideal Candidate
You are an established commercial leader with a proven track record of shaping markets and building businesses in complex, fragmented environments.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of progressive senior commercial, sales, or operational leadership experience within pharmaceuticals, vaccines, or healthcare.
- Prior experience in the India market is essential, with strong exposure to South Asian markets (Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan).
- Proven success in leading digital transformation and e-commerce models within healthcare/life sciences.
- Advanced degree in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field is preferred.
