Prenetics (NASDAQ: PRE) is a leading health sciences company. IM8 is our newest venture, a next-generation health and wellness brand co-founded with global icon David Beckham. Launched in 2024, IM8 has become one of the fastest-growing supplement brands in the world within just six months.
We are looking for a senior, hands-on data engineering leader to own IM8’s data foundation end-to-end. This role is ideal for someone who has designed and operated data platforms in a DTC/e-commerce environment, is technically strong, and can operate independently at high velocity. You will start hands-on and evolve the function—setting standards, making architectural decisions, and eventually building the data team.
What You’ll Do: Architect, Build, and Lead
You will be the foundational data leader, responsible for creating the single source of truth that powers growth, product, and operations.
- Own End-to-End Data Architecture: Take full ownership of data architecture across growth, commerce, lifecycle, and operations for a high-velocity DTC brand.
- Design & Build Scalable Platforms: Lead the design and evolution of a modern, analytics-ready data platform. Ingest, model, and transform data from Shopify, GA4, Klaviyo, Triple Whale, and subscription/fulfillment systems.
- Enable Core DTC Analytics: Build the foundation for key use cases: customer lifecycle analysis, CAC/LTV, retention/churn, marketing attribution, and operational insights.
- Set Standards & Governance: Define data models, metrics, documentation, and quality checks to enable confident self-service analytics across the company.
- Partner Cross-Functionally: Work directly with Growth, Product, and Operations to translate business questions into scalable data solutions.
- Build the Function: Start as a hands-on builder, then hire, mentor, and lead a data engineering and analytics team as the company scales.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles, with proven experience in DTC/e-commerce environments (subscription business models strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of data architecture, pipelines, and analytics foundations in a high-growth setting.
- Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, and experience operating cloud-based data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, dbt, Airflow).
- Hands-on experience integrating and modeling data from tools like Shopify, GA4, Klaviyo, and marketing attribution platforms.
- Strong judgment in choosing tools and architecture—pragmatic, scalable, and business-driven.
- Comfortable operating as both a hands-on builder and technical leader.
- A clear communicator who can work effectively with non-technical stakeholders to drive impact.
