Summary
Cochlear develops products, systems, and tools with electromechanical hardware and software components. The Systems Verification and Validation (V&V) team works to protect the experience and trust that customers have in Cochlear, with a final, independent evaluation of these products and systems.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, comprehensive, and user-centric V&V test methods, coverage, and evidence to demonstrate that products and systems meet intended specifications and customer needs. You will also ensure V&V outputs are delivered to project timelines and contribute to continuous improvements in testing and processes.

📋 Key Responsibilities:
🧪 1. System and Product Design Verification & Validation
- Enable the release of high-quality systems and products through design V&V activities.
- Ensure design inputs (needs, requirements) are testable.
- Develop, improve, and maintain high-quality test methods, cases, and protocols.
- Execute automated and manual tests using a range of test methods and equipment.
- Produce test artifacts, results, objective evidence, and reports.
- Troubleshoot and debug test issues (method, setup, equipment, script).
- Communicate issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain high-quality documentation under Quality Management System (QMS) change control.
📅 2. Project Delivery and Communication
- Align with V&V project leads on tasks and priorities.
- Deliver V&V tasks to meet project timelines.
- Communicate V&V delivery status and risks to stakeholders.
- Contribute V&V needs (skills, equipment, resourcing) to project plans.
- Escalate project issues and risks and propose solutions.
🛠️ 3. V&V Processes and Tools
- Maintain and improve V&V tools and test automation.
- Manage V&V inventory.
- Follow V&V processes and QMS procedures; contribute to continuous improvements.
🤝 4. Team Contributions
- Share knowledge and collaborate with V&V, design, and project teams.
- Work cross-functionally to achieve the best customer and business outcomes.
👤 Key Requirements:
✅ Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline (CGPA 3.50 and above).
- Completed at least one introductory-level programming course.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional engineering environment.
- Decent English fluency (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with test methods and instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, sensors).
- Strong technical communication, documentation, and scientific approach.
- Experience in data collection, analysis, troubleshooting, and attention to detail.

- Programming skills (Python, C++).
- Application of design principles, systems engineering, and requirements management.
- Proficient use of instrumentation and test methods (bench testing, usability testing).
- Experience with project risk management.
- Knowledge of control and automation principles (PLC, robot control).
