Based in our growing Malaysia shared services hub, you will design, build, and support secure and scalable Workday solutions that enable our teams worldwide to focus on what matters most: bringing the life-changing experience of hearing to more people.
The Opportunity
You will be a hands-on technical specialist, responsible for the end-to-end delivery and support of Workday integrations. Working within an Agile squad, you’ll collaborate with HR process owners, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure our Workday HCM platform is stable, efficient, and aligned with evolving business needs. This role offers the chance to own critical integrations, drive continuous improvement, and support high-impact initiatives across a truly global organisation.
In This Role You Will Be Responsible For
Integration Design, Build & Support
- Design, build, support, and enhance Workday integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors (PECI, CCB, CCTPP), and EIBs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integrations across Workday, Dell Boomi, and SFTP, ensuring stability and data integrity.
- Support Boomi integration processes, including error monitoring, root-cause analysis, and recovery.
- Manage SFTP integrations with global payroll vendors and coordinate issue resolution with infrastructure teams.
- Support PGP and SSH key rotations to ensure secure, compliant data exchange.
System Configuration & Governance
- Configure and support Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Security, Business Processes, Compensation, Absence).
- Manage Workday security roles and access, enforcing governance and least-privilege principles.
- Perform impact analysis, unit testing, and support UAT for all system changes.
- Provide Level 2 BAU support for Workday HCM and integration issues.
Agile Delivery & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Agile delivery, contributing to user stories, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and testing using Jira/Confluence.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across Workday processes and integrations.
- Maintain clear technical and operational documentation to support audits and future enhancements.
Position Specific Skills and Challenges
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has hands-on experience building complex integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and EIBs.
- Can design integrations involving multi-file payloads, conditional orchestration, chunking, and parallelization.
- Understands SaaS architecture, APIs (SOAP/REST), XML, XSLT, ETV/XTT, SFTP, and PGP/SSH.
- Has experience operating integrations in production, including error monitoring, root-cause analysis, and recovery.
- Can balance BAU support with project delivery in a fast-paced, matrixed global environment.
- Has a strong focus on security, documentation, and governance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Workday HCM and Workday integrations experience.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or equivalent.
- Strong expertise with Workday Studio, Core Connectors (PECI, CCB, CCTPP), and EIBs.
- Solid understanding of APIs, SOAP/REST, XML, XSLT, ETV/XTT, SFTP, PGP/SSH.
- Strong HR process knowledge and Workday functional understanding.
- Experience in Agile delivery and testing practices (UAT, test cases).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
