About the Role
The Salesforce Marketing Automation Specialist will join our Information Technology & Digital team and play a critical role in designing, implementing and optimising our marketing automation and CRM ecosystem.
Working closely with Marketing, Participant Recruitment, IT and external partners, you will drive engagement, improve campaign performance and support business growth through Salesforce, Marketing Cloud and data-driven solutions. You will own the marketing technology ecosystem from web-based lead capture through to CRM integration, helping shape the full customer lifecycle from acquisition and nurturing through to retention and re-engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, design and day-to-day management of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Design, build and optimise email and SMS journeys including welcome, nurture, re-engagement, on-study and post-study communications.
- Lead marketing technology stack optimisation in collaboration with IT and external partners.
- Own and optimise web form capture across digital properties to support volunteer and lead acquisition.
- Administer and develop FormAssembly, including form design, conditional logic and secure data handling.
- Design and maintain integrations between FormAssembly, Salesforce, Zapier and related systems.
- Manage Salesforce Data Cloud and Salesforce Personalization to support advanced segmentation and real-time customer experiences.
- Oversee database quality, governance, preference management and compliance requirements.
- Deliver meaningful dashboards, reporting and insights covering audience growth, engagement, conversion and retention.
- Champion testing and optimisation through A/B testing and experimentation.
- Coordinate external vendors and managed service providers.
- Ensure compliance with privacy and communication regulations across multiple regions.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Experience building and managing automated marketing campaigns across email and SMS channels.
- Experience managing multi-region Salesforce and Marketing Cloud environments.
- Hands-on expertise with web form capture platforms (FormAssembly) and integration and automation tooling (Zapier, APIs).
- Familiarity with Experian and Validity tools for data quality and compliance.
- Working knowledge of Power BI and Marketing Cloud Intelligence.
- Technical experience with AMPscript, HTML, CSS and JavaScript is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
