🎯 Your Physician Leadership Mission: Key Responsibilities
Expert Medical Review & Safety Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive medical review of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) across all therapeutic areas and development phases
- Provide definitive medical assessment of adverse events for seriousness, expectedness, and causality determinations
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of all global safety reports through expert medical oversight
- Review and validate medical coding (MedDRA) to ensure precise adverse event classification and reporting
Strategic Safety Leadership
- Provide medical and safety support to Project Teams, ensuring trials are conducted ethically and in compliance with global regulations
- Serve as the senior medical authority within Case Management and across Global Patient Safety (GPS) operations
- Offer medical and regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams to enable completion of complex case management activities
- Contribute to risk management strategies and safety surveillance plans based on emerging clinical data
Team Development & Mentorship
- Provide advanced training, coaching, and mentorship to GPS scientists and junior physicians in clinical and safety science
- Develop and deliver educational programs on pharmacovigilance principles, medical review standards, and regulatory requirements
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence within the medical review team
- Share therapeutic area expertise and clinical insights to enhance team capabilities
Operational Excellence & Oversight
- Support operational management and oversight of medical review processes and quality metrics
- Ensure adherence to regulatory timelines and quality standards for all medical review activities
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality in safety operations
- Represent medical review function during internal audits and regulatory inspections
⭐ Your Profile: Physician Leadership Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with active medical license
- Demonstrated experience in pharmacovigilance and drug safety within pharmaceutical or CRO industry
- Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and global pharmacovigilance regulations
- Proven ability to provide medical leadership in complex, cross-functional environments
Clinical & Safety Expertise
- Extensive experience conducting comprehensive ICSR medical reviews across multiple therapeutic areas
- Deep understanding of adverse event assessment, causality determination, and risk-benefit analysis
- Knowledge of medical coding principles (MedDRA) and their application in safety reporting
- Familiarity with global safety regulations (FDA, EMA, MHRA, etc.) and ICH guidelines
