We are seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Coordinator II to join our Clinical Supply Chain team in a 100% home-based role in Australia. In this pivotal position, you will be the operational maestro for the movement and management of clinical trial materials—including investigational products, lab kits, and equipment—across the APAC region and beyond. Your expertise will ensure trial continuity, patient safety, and regulatory compliance, all while optimizing costs and efficiency. If you are a logistics professional who thrives on complex coordination and process excellence, this is your opportunity to power clinical research from your home office.
Your Mission: The Operational Hub for Clinical Supply Chain Excellence
As a Logistics Coordinator II, you will manage the end-to-end logistics for assigned studies, from shipment planning and execution to inventory tracking and issue resolution. You are the vital link between internal teams, vendors, and investigative sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Logistics & Shipment Management
- Oversee the coordination and execution of domestic and international shipments of clinical trial materials, ensuring timely, compliant, and temperature-controlled delivery to investigative sites.
- Manage complex logistics activities including import/export documentation, customs clearance, courier management, and delivery tracking.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready records of all shipping and inventory documentation in compliance with GCP and GDP guidelines.
2. Inventory Management & Optimization
- Monitor and manage clinical trial inventory levels at depots and sites, reconciling stock and anticipating resupply needs.
- Implement and utilize logistics software and trackers to provide real-time visibility of material status across the supply chain.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics (costs, lead times, delivery success) to identify and drive process improvements.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Problem-Solving
- Serve as the primary logistics contact, collaborating closely with Clinical Operations, Project Management, and investigative sites to address supply challenges and ensure study continuity.
- Liaise effectively with vendors, couriers, and depot providers to negotiate rates, resolve issues, and ensure service quality.
- Develop and implement logistical strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks for assigned studies.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential delays or compliance issues in the supply chain.
Who You Are: The Ideal Candidate
You are a detail-oriented, process-driven professional with solid experience in logistics, preferably within a regulated environment. You are an excellent communicator, a natural problem-solver, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a remote setting.
Your Required Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on logistics coordination experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or CRO industry.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial supply chain, inventory management, and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
- Proven experience managing international shipments, including knowledge of customs regulations and temperature-controlled logistics.
