We are seeking a visionary Lead Solution Architect to play a critical role in the SC Discovery program—a strategic initiative shaping the next decade of ResMed’s global supply chain. This role focuses specifically on the convergence of Logistics, Distribution, and Global Trade Management, designing the architectural blueprint that will integrate these domains seamlessly into a unified, intelligent supply chain ecosystem.
The Opportunity: SC Discovery – Logistics & Global Trade Stream
SC Discovery is the foundational strategic phase where we define the future-state architecture, capabilities, and design principles—before any technology selection. You will be the architectural authority for Logistics and Global Trade, ensuring these historically separate functions are expertly integrated into ResMed’s core supply chain strategy. Your work will enable real-time visibility, compliance automation, and AI-driven optimization across our global operations.
You will own the architecture for key logistics enablers:
- Logistics Systems Integration: Designing integrations for WMS, TMS, and third-party logistics (3PL) platforms.
- Global Trade Management: Architecting solutions for customs compliance, cross-border logistics, and trade regulation adherence.
- Supply Chain Visibility: Establishing real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and performance dashboards.
- AI & Automation: Embedding AI/ML for demand forecasting, anomaly detection, and automated workflow optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture Design
- Develop the end-to-end solution architecture for logistics and global trade, ensuring alignment with enterprise platforms and standards.
- Define the architectural north star for logistics, creating conceptual models, integration patterns, and governance frameworks.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis of current systems and outline high-value design decisions for the next five years.
- Establish a structured capability taxonomy for logistics, distribution, and global trade domains.
Technology Leadership & Innovation
- Drive integration strategy using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), API-first design, and event-driven architecture.
- Leverage cloud-native solutions (AWS) and advanced capabilities in data integration, analytics, and automation.
- Champion the adoption of AI/ML and IoT to optimize logistics performance, security, and decision support.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise security, compliance (e.g., GAMP 5), and architectural principles.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, product owners, and domain architects to translate requirements into scalable blueprints.
- Partner with global tech teams to standardize the tech stack and drive interoperability.
- Define and track KPIs for logistics performance (On-Time Delivery, Inventory Accuracy, Customs Clearance Time, Carbon Footprint).
- Report into and ensure alignment with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Minimum 5 years as a Solution Architect / Technical Architect, with at least 3 years in a custom development environment.
- Proven experience designing architectures for logistics, WMS, TMS, or global trade management.
- Strong hands-on experience with React, NodeJS, .NET, AWS, and databases.
- Expertise in enterprise integration patterns, API/EDI management, and cloud-native design.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Working understanding of Agile methodologies.
Preferred:
- Experience with Oracle ERP / EBS or similar large-scale ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Docker, ECS, EKS.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
- Practical experience applying AI/ML to supply chain or logistics challenges.
