CSL is a leading global biotechnology company and an Australian success story. We are continuing to invest and grow. At our CSL Behring Broadmeadows site, you will join a dedicated team responsible for ensuring world-class standards of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) performance.
This critical role partners with the business to administer, review, and support EHS programs, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in our high-standard manufacturing and project activities. As part of the site EHS team reporting to the EHS Director, you will play a key role in protecting our people and our planet.
Your Responsibilities: Drive EHS Excellence & Partnership
You will be a proactive partner to the business, embedding EHS into daily operations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development & Deployment: Support the development and implementation of allocated EHS programs from the site strategic plan.
- Systems & Process Improvement: Improve allocated EHS systems and processes, and manage departmental procurement.
- Business Partnership & Incident Management: Partner with CSL departments, participate in incident investigations, and support the identification of corrective measures.
- Training & Communication: Develop EHS training packages, facilitate workshops, and coordinate communications, committees, and events.
- Reporting & Team Support: Undertake allocated EHS reporting, processes, and training programs. Provide support to other EHS team members as required.
Your Skills and Experience: The EHS Professional
You are a systems-minded professional with practical experience in implementing and improving EHS management within a complex operational environment.
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant tertiary qualifications).
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in an EHS team or in operational roles with a significant safety component.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and improving EHS Management Systems, including delivering practical tools and training.
- Hands-on experience in EHS training, reporting, and systems management.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively across multiple department functions.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment (GMP).
- A passion for practical problem-solving and driving sustainable EHS culture.

This role is based at CSL’s Broadmeadows site. It is a full-time, office-based position, 5 days a week.
