We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager in Japan to lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of complex clinical trials. Your Role: Strategic Leadership & Delivery
As a Project Manager, you will provide comprehensive project management leadership for the initiation, planning, execution, and close-out of assigned studies. You will be responsible for ensuring all budgetary, timeline, and quality targets are met, potentially managing a portfolio of high-complexity, global, full-service projects. You may also serve as a Line Manager, mentoring other Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Project Leadership: Manage all aspects of clinical projects from study start-up through to close-out, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Financial & Resource Management: Oversee all financial components of the study, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Lead and motivate global, cross-functional study teams (Clinical Operations, Data Management, Regulatory, etc.), fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, building strong partnerships and ensuring clear, proactive communication.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions to keep the study on track.
- Therapeutic Expertise: Apply subject matter expertise in the designated therapeutic area to guide project strategy and decision-making.
What You Bring
Qualifications & Experience:
- A 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in a project management role within a CRO or pharmaceutical company.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, global project teams and manage all financial aspects of clinical studies.
- Subject matter expertise in a relevant therapeutic area.
- Fluency in Japanese (both written and verbal) is essential.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
