About the Role: Start Your Career in Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing
We are seeking a diligent and technically-minded Downstream Equipment Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for the hands-on execution of downstream production activities, ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of equipment used to purify pharmaceutical products. Your Key Responsibilities
Core Manufacturing Execution:
- Execute all assigned downstream manufacturing activities (e.g., chromatography, filtration, UF/DF) according to the production schedule, in strict compliance with GMP, safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Perform proper and timely cleaning, preparation, and sterilization of production equipment (bioreactors, columns, skids) and production rooms.
- Conduct sampling, aliquoting, and in-process controls as per standard procedures.
Equipment & Area Management:
- Perform daily operational checks of manufacturing equipment, support devices, and room status.
- Independently execute complex setups and changeovers of machine components and format parts.
- Provide first-level support for basic equipment troubleshooting and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage the supply of critical consumables (filters, resins, connections, bags, gases) required for operations.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
- Support timely and accurate batch record review.
- Maintain impeccable housekeeping standards (5S) in the production area.
- Participate in on-the-job training for new equipment operators.
- Adhere to Good Documentation Practice (GDP) for all activities.
Your Profile: Qualifications & Attributes
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Biotechnology) or Sciences.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) for understanding procedures and documentation.
- High level of conscientiousness, with strong attention to detail, order, and cleanliness.
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand processes and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts (including nights/weekends as per schedule).
