Job Overview & Purpose
The Clinical Technical Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring clinical excellence in cochlear implant management and operations across Asia Growth Markets, primarily Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This role delivers comprehensive training to distributor teams, provides remote clinical and technical troubleshooting, manages escalated issues, and supports complaints processes. You will work closely with clinical leadership to update protocols and materials, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
This is a remote position, preferably based in Thailand, with regular travel required for on-site training and distributor engagements.
đ Accountabilities
đŻ Accountability 1: Clinical & Technical Excellence
- Provide clinical support across the implant lifecycle: candidacy evaluation, surgery preparation, and post-operative care.
- Troubleshoot clinical technical issues remotely, guiding distributors to effective resolutions.
- Assist with complaints management, documentation, and root cause analysis.
- Serve as the primary contact for escalated clinical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Support integrity testing and coordinate with customer service teams.
đ Accountability 2: Training & Development
- Deliver regular training sessions to distributor audiologists and mapping clinicians.
- Develop and update training materials and clinical protocols with the AGM Clinical Affairs Manager and APAC Clinical teams.
- Ensure distributors are proficient in Cochlearâs product portfolio and clinical best practices.
đ¤ Minimum Key Requirements
đ Education & Experience
- Bachelor of Audiology or above.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing cochlear implant patients (preferred).
- Previous experience in clinical technical support, troubleshooting, or customer support in healthcare/medical devices.
đĄ Required Skills
- Solid understanding of cochlear implant technology and clinical protocols.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting clinical equipment and implant software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and case management abilities.
- Excellent communication skillsâable to explain complex technical information clearly.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage high-demand situations.
- No travel restrictions to Asia Growth Market countries (including Pakistan and Sri Lanka).
