Prenetics (NASDAQ: PRE) is a health sciences company focused on innovation in consumer health. One of its fastest-growing ventures, IM8, is a next-generation health and wellness brand co-founded with David Beckham. Launched in 2024, IM8 has scaled rapidly and is now looking for a senior technical leader to own and build its data foundation.
This is a high-impact role for an experienced Data Engineering Lead or Senior Data Engineer who has built data platforms in a DTC, e-commerce, or subscription business. You will take end-to-end ownership of the company’s data architecture, pipelines, and analytics foundations — starting as a hands-on builder and evolving into the leader of the data function over time.

About the role
You will lead the design and development of IM8’s data platform across growth, commerce, lifecycle, and operations. The role combines hands-on data engineering, data architecture, and long-term team-building responsibility.
You’ll partner closely with teams across Growth, Product, Finance, and Operations to ensure data is reliable, scalable, and ready for decision-making.

What you’ll do
Own the data platform end-to-end
Take full ownership of IM8’s data architecture across growth, commerce, subscription, retention, and operations.
Design and scale an analytics-ready data foundation
Build and evolve a modern data platform that brings together business-critical systems into a clear, scalable, analytics-ready model.
Build and maintain reliable data pipelines
Develop high-quality pipelines that ingest and transform data from platforms such as:
- Shopify
- GA4
- Klaviyo
- Triple Whale
- subscription systems
- fulfillment and operational platforms
Support key DTC and growth analytics use cases
Enable analysis across:
- customer lifecycle
- CAC and LTV
- retention and churn
- marketing attribution
- campaign performance
- operational reporting
Set data quality and governance standards
Define data models, documentation, metrics, and quality controls so stakeholders can trust the data and self-serve insights confidently.
Partner cross-functionally
Work closely with non-technical and technical teams to translate business questions into scalable data solutions and proactively identify insight opportunities.
Set the technical standard for the function
Establish best practices for:
- architecture
- code quality
- testing
- monitoring
- deployment
- platform reliability
Build the data function over time
Start as a hands-on leader, then help hire, mentor, and guide data engineering and analytics talent as the company scales.

- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform roles
- Strong experience in DTC, e-commerce, or subscription-based businesses
- Proven ownership of data architecture, pipelines, and analytics foundations
- Advanced SQL and Python skills
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms
- Hands-on experience integrating and modeling data from tools such as:
- Shopify
- GA4
- Klaviyo
- attribution and marketing analytics platforms
- Strong architectural judgment — able to choose tools and systems that are practical, scalable, and business-relevant
- Comfortable operating as both a hands-on builder and a technical leader
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
