As the Systems Engineering Manager, you will provide people leadership and strategic direction for a global team of 9+ engineers across Sydney, Singapore, and Los Angeles. You will be the cornerstone for delivering robust, efficient test solutions that scale with our growing product portfolio.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Talent & Capability Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a world-class test engineering team. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability while ensuring robust succession planning.
- Strategic Execution & Delivery: Translate ResMed’s supply chain and product vision into a clear test engineering strategy. Own the on-time, on-budget delivery of test systems for all NPI and legacy manufacturing programs.
- Technical Leadership & Innovation: Partner with Technical Leads on technology selection, championing modern Design-for-Test (DFT) and automation principles to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and data analytics.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Serve as the key liaison between Test Engineering and Product, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams, ensuring alignment on requirements and lifecycle management.
- Operational Excellence: Drive initiatives that improve team efficiency, reduce test-related production downtime, and integrate digital tools for greater visibility and reliability.
Let’s Talk About You: Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a leader who combines deep technical acumen with a passion for developing people.
Essential Requirements:
- A degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Software, or a related Engineering field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in engineering people leadership, ideally within a manufacturing, test, or systems engineering environment.
- A deep understanding of production test system development, validation, and lifecycle management (e.g., PCBA test: ICT, FCT, RF).
- Demonstrated success in leading technical teams, driving project delivery, and developing talent in a multi-disciplinary, global setting.
- Experience in regulated environments (ISO, FDA QSR) is highly advantageous.
