Drive Business Performance as a Strategic Finance Partner in Clinical Research

We are seeking a proactive Financial Analyst II to join our team in Chennai. This is a key business-partnering role where you will be the financial anchor for your assigned business units. You will go beyond reporting to own the P&L, provide actionable insights, and influence decisions that optimize financial performance and drive growth. Your Mission: Translate Data into Actionable Business Strategy
You will be the trusted finance expert for business leaders, providing the clarity and insight needed to navigate financial performance and achieve unit objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Financial Narrative: Take full ownership of the P&L for your business units. Analyze monthly/quarterly results, prepare insightful reporting packages, and provide clear, actionable commentary on key performance indicators (KPIs), revenue, and margin drivers.
- Lead Financial Planning: Develop, build, and prepare the Annual Budget and maintain accurate monthly forecasts. Make strategic recommendations to business unit management for optimizing financial performance and hitting targets.
- Drive Cost Management & Business Case Analysis: Conduct deep-dive cost analyses and partner with business leaders to ensure effective cost management. Prepare ad-hoc financial models and business case analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Strengthen Business Partnerships: Build strong, collaborative relationships with Project Management and other operational groups. Support pre-close revenue reviews to ensure accuracy and contribute to management presentations.

You are a finance professional who is passionate about connecting numbers to business outcomes and thrives in a partner-facing role.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A professional degree (CPA, CWA, CA, CMA) with 3+ years of experience, OR a semi-qualified candidate with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, planning, and business partnering.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and tell a story with numbers.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel. Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Alteryx, or Power BI is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
