We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in a 100% home-based role in Taiwan. In this pivotal position, you will be the accountable leader for the end-to-end delivery of clinical research projects. You will leverage your expertise to develop plans, manage resources, mitigate risks, and ensure studies are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards—all while collaborating with a global team from the comfort of your home office.
Your Mission: The Single Point of Accountability for Project Success
As a Project Manager at ICON, you will own the project from planning through close-out. You will be the central hub for strategy, communication, and problem-solving, driving cross-functional teams to achieve study objectives and meet our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Project Leadership & Planning
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies for clinical studies.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for project delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, and financial targets.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing effective contingency plans.
2. Cross-Functional Team Management & Collaboration
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams (Clinical, Data Management, Regulatory, Safety) to achieve project milestones.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all stakeholders, both internal and external (client, vendors).
- Monitor project progress using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Act as the main client contact, managing expectations, providing transparent updates, and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Prepare and present detailed project status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to senior management and clients.
- Ensure all project activities comply with ICH-GCP guidelines, ICON SOPs, and local regulatory requirements.
Who You Are: The Ideal Candidate
You are a proactive, results-driven leader with a proven track record of managing complex projects in a regulated environment. You excel at remote collaboration, are an exceptional communicator, and thrive on the responsibility of delivering success.
Your Required Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Significant experience in project management within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry, with a focus on clinical trial delivery.
- Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion within scope, time, and budget.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Proficiency in project management software and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to driving continuous improvement.
Highly Advantageous:
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
- Direct experience managing regional or global clinical trials.
- Experience working in a fully remote or home-based role.
