We are seeking a strategic and influential Business Lead to shape the market, drive access, and lead our commercial efforts for the West Region (Private Market) from our Mumbai office.
This is a pivotal leadership role where you will proactively build and shape the healthcare environment, defend Takeda's market position, and deepen access for our critical therapies. You will be responsible for developing trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, preparing for innovative launches, and ultimately making an extraordinary impact on patient lives while steering the local healthcare system toward sustainability.
Your Key Contributions
Strategic Commercial Leadership & Execution
- Deliver Commercial Goals: Achieve aggressive revenue growth and strategic priorities for the PDT portfolio in the West Region, aligning with Takeda's overall objectives.
- Drive Operating Rhythm: Track and drive regional sales performance through robust business reviews, data analysis, and actionable reporting.
- Develop Regional Strategy: Formulate and execute effective business strategies for the region, applying deep market principles to practice.
Cross-Functional Orchestration & Forecasting
- Forecasting Excellence: Provide accurate, periodic product forecasts to the Supply Chain team and promptly address any deviations.
- Foster Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure key business objectives are met.
Team Development & Stakeholder Influence
- Lead & Coach High-Performing Teams: Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to Business Account Managers (BAMs) to optimize execution and foster professional growth.
- Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), procurement teams at corporate chains & large standalone hospitals, and healthcare associations.
- Enhance Channel Strategy: Strengthen relationships and improvise channel business through strategic distribution management.
Compliance & Performance Management
- Monitor KPIs: Closely track key performance indicators to ensure they reflect true performance and inform strategic adjustments.
- Champion Ethics & Compliance: Uphold the highest ethical standards and ensure full compliance across all regional business practices.
What You Bring to Takeda
Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales, with a minimum of 4+ years in a people management/leadership role.
- Must have significant work experience in the Pharma industry; expertise in public/private markets and rare diseases is highly preferred.
- Proven exposure and success with digital initiatives in a commercial context.
- Strong experience managing key accounts, specifically with procurement teams in corporate hospital chains.
