We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical System Designer to provide strategic leadership in the design and implementation of advanced clinical data systems. In this pivotal role, you will be the technical architect for systems that enhance trial design, execution, and data integrity. Your expertise will drive innovation, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize operational efficiency for global clinical trials.
Your Role: Strategic Design & Technical Leadership
You will lead the design and development of clinical data capture and management systems, serving as a key expert and influencer within a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
System Architecture & Design Leadership:
- Lead the design and development of clinical systems (e.g., EDC, eCOA, IRT, data integrations), ensuring alignment with complex study protocols and operational needs.
- Provide strategic guidance on the implementation of new technologies and industry best practices in clinical system design.
- Stay current with industry trends (e.g., AI/ML, decentralized trials, real-world data) to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Innovation:
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Data Management, Biostatistics, and IT teams to identify opportunities for system enhancements and process innovations.
- Influence and drive change in a complex organization through excellent stakeholder management and communication.
System Implementation & Quality Assurance:
- Oversee system configuration, integration, testing, and validation to ensure optimal functionality, user experience, and regulatory compliance (ICH-GCP, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Maintain high standards of quality and compliance in all system-related activities.
- Utilize expertise in data analysis and clinical data management systems to inform design decisions.
Your Profile: Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
- Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related technical/scientific discipline.
- Extensive, hands-on experience in the design, configuration, and implementation of clinical systems within a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology setting.
- Proven experience with leading EDC platforms (e.g., Medidata Rave, Veeva, Oracle Clinical) and understanding of clinical data standards (CDISC).
