đŻ JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a strategic Purchasing Senior Executive to support the Manager/Senior Manager in ensuring smooth and efficient procurement operations. You will lead a section, manage sourcing for indirect materials and general items, drive cost savings, and implement sourcing strategiesâall while fostering strong supplier relationships and internal cross-functional collaboration.
đ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
đĽ Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead a purchasing section, handling daily activities, supervising assistants, and monitoring team performance.
- Supervise, train, and develop purchasing assistants, ensuring adherence to SOPs and company policies.
- Monitor and update team KPIs to drive performance and accountability.
đ Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Manage sourcing activities for indirect materials and general items, identifying new vendors that offer better price, quality, delivery, and service.
- Ensure new supplier qualifications meet safety, technical, and commercial requirements.
- Prepare tender/RFQ documents and oversee the tendering, quotation, and negotiation processes.
- Conduct supplier/contractor evaluations as per SOP schedules.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and contribute to procurement process improvements.
đ¤ Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance
- Work closely with internal functions to achieve high customer satisfaction and address end-user issues.
- Ensure supplier on-time delivery aligns with end-user requests.
- Maintain proper filing systems for purchasing documents and ensure ISO compliance.
- Support system implementations and provide user guidance for smooth adoption.
- Coordinate former shipments and update duty exemption checklists.
đ Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare comparison tables for management review.
- Assist in driving improvements to purchasing processes, 5S, and decision-support systems.
- Handle inbound progress claims and ensure accurate order tracking.
đ¤ YOUR PROFILE

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelorâs Degree in any field from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of procurement methods: sourcing, tendering, negotiation, supplier management, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
đ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in indirect procurement within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, ERP systems, and supply chain best practices.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
