Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership
- Develop and execute the annual strategic sourcing plan and budget based on comprehensive spend analysis.
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities: spend analysis, tender management (RFP/RFQ/RFI), vendor evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
- Conduct market intelligence and forward-looking analysis to inform procurement strategies and achieve stretched cost targets.
- Drive alternate sourcing initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience and competitive advantage.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
- Build and maintain long-term, strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure consistent, high-quality supply.
- Lead regular business performance reviews with vendors, focusing on timeliness, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Handle and resolve stakeholder complaints related to procurement and supplier performance.
Contract Management & Negotiation
- Draft, finalize, and manage purchasing contracts and agreements in collaboration with legal advisors.
- Lead tender negotiations and participate actively in tender committees to secure optimal commercial terms.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Process Optimization & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Develop and enhance purchasing department systems, procedures, and tools.
- Coordinate with production, finance, and other functions to align procurement with operational needs and company strategy.
- Monitor and forecast stock requirements to support uninterrupted plant operations.
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP) effectively for procurement operations and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or purchasing, preferably within manufacturing or a related industry.
- Proven expertise in spend analysis, tender management, contract drafting, and commercial negotiation.
- Strong ability to conduct market research, cost analysis, and derive measurable cost savings.
- Excellent command of English, with superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics AX).
- High integrity, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
