We are now seeking a detail-oriented and motivated finance graduate to join our Accounts department, where you will gain comprehensive experience in a fast-paced, international manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Assist in the daily operations of the accounts department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare timely and accurate reports for government departments (e.g., Statistic Department, Bank Negara).
- Check and verify sales invoice listings and prepare monthly sales analysis reports.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly statutory reports as required.
Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow Monitoring
- Verify monthly debtor statements and aging analysis for both foreign and local customers.
- Monitor accounts receivables and proactively follow up on payments.
- Assist in monitoring cash flow to optimize fund allocation and prevent shortfalls.
- Liaise with banks on receipt status, document submissions, and Letter of Credit (LC) verification.
Compliance & Reconciliation
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Check and verify batch reports before final posting.
- Ensure all sundry sales and disposals are properly approved, recorded, and paid.
Audit, Supervision & Development
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to prepare required schedules and support annual audits.
- Monitor, supervise, and provide on-the-job training to junior team members.
- Ensure non-conformances are reported and corrective actions are implemented.
- Handle ad-hoc assignments and reports as instructed by management.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification or finalist in ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, or equivalent is highly advantageous.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, or up to 1 year of relevant working experience.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work effectively in a team.
