We are seeking a motivated and curious Product Specialist to join our Specialty Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) team in a part-time capacity (3 days per week). This role is perfect for a professional who values work-life balance without sacrificing career ambition—offering a clear pathway to growth, including potential transition to full-time as business needs evolve.
About the Role
You will engage with Gastroenterologists, IBD nurses, and allied health professionals to support Takeda’s IBD portfolio. By leveraging scientific insights, omnichannel engagement, and strong relationship-building skills, you will drive meaningful impact in patient care while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time schedule.
What You Will Do
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with key healthcare professionals in the IBD ecosystem.
- Identify customer needs and deliver insights-driven solutions that add value.
- Use creativity and persistence to deepen engagement and open new opportunities.
Sales, Strategy & Territory Excellence
- Execute local and national sales strategies aligned with brand priorities.
- Develop data-driven territory plans using feedback, analytics, and performance metrics.
- Adapt proactively to changing market dynamics and business needs.
Omnichannel Impact
- Engage customers through a mix of in-person, virtual, digital, and peer-to-peer channels.
- Tailor communications using customer insights to maximize relevance and impact.
Industry Knowledge & Learning Agility
- Stay current with advancements in IBD therapeutics and the competitive landscape.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset, continuously enhancing your scientific and market knowledge.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Health Sciences, or a related field (desirable).
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or adjacent industries (IBD experience advantageous but not essential).
- Comfort using multichannel and digital tools to engage customers.
- Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- A curious, proactive mindset with a passion for learning and development.
- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for meetings, conferences, and occasional interstate engagements.
