The Role: Information Security Officer
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Information Security Officer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining our information security framework, ensuring robust system controls, and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization. Key Responsibilities
1. Establish & Maintain System Security Controls
- Develop and implement the framework for system controls, defining levels of access and recommending continuous improvements.
- Maintain user and system access by providing technical support, resources, and necessary information.
- Establish and oversee physical security measures for computer infrastructure and terminals.
2. Security Awareness & Compliance
- Develop and drive security awareness programs through orientations, training sessions, and ongoing communications to educate staff.
- Monitor compliance with internal control policies and procedures, conducting regular checks and audits.
- Coordinate the compliance reporting process for external customers and stakeholders.
3. Technical Guidance & Vulnerability Management
- Provide technical guidance on compliance-related security controls.
- Assist in vulnerability resolution activities, network segmentation strategies, and other technical security initiatives.
Who You Are: The Ideal Candidate
You are a detail-oriented professional with a foundational understanding of IT security principles, eager to apply your knowledge in a large-scale operational environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in information security, IT operations, or IT audit. We also strongly encourage fresh graduates with relevant academic projects/internships to apply.
- Understanding of information security frameworks, access control models, and basic network security concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A proactive mindset with a keen interest in compliance and risk management.
