About the Role: Continuous Improvement Engineer
We are seeking an analytical and driven Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our operational excellence team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies to drive process overhaul and upgrade programs across our organization. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, leading improvement projects, and coaching teams to enhance our Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance, ensuring Hartalega maintains its world-class manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Project Leadership
- Research new manufacturing technologies and develop innovative solutions to improve process capability, production volume, and quality standards.
- Lead problem-solving efforts to eliminate waste, reduce the cost of poor quality, and improve overall plant performance.
- Design and perform operational analyses of manufacturing processes, applying statistical methods to reduce variation and optimize performance.
- Plan and execute Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) projects from identification through to sustainable implementation.
Training, Coaching & Culture Development
- Coordinate and deliver training to equip teams with continuous improvement tools and strategies.
- Function as the site’s process improvement expert, coaching and motivating employees at all levels to embrace change and adopt best practices.
- Network with other locations to share and implement best practices across the organization.
Analysis, Reporting & Auditing
- Develop and prepare improvement indexes, dashboards, and performance reports for management.
- Conduct regular audits of improvement projects to ensure sustainability and measure impact against targets.
- Utilize technical skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and AutoCAD to analyze data, present findings, and design solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Process, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) projects and Lean Manufacturing principles is highly preferred.
- Proven process improvement skills with hands-on project experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead change, motivate teams, and deliver tangible business transformation results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and AutoCAD.
