We're looking for a detail-oriented Email Marketing Specialist to own all email execution inside Klaviyo. You'll be the person who takes strategy and creative direction and brings it to life—building, QA-ing, and deploying every campaign, flow, and lifecycle touchpoint. You should have a sharp eye for design, strong opinions on what makes great email content, and the technical chops to work quickly and accurately in Klaviyo and Figma. While strategy will be guided by leadership, your perspective on content and performance will be valued and expected.
What You'll Do
- Own all email and SMS builds in Klaviyo—campaigns, automated flows, A/B tests, segmentation, and triggered sends
- Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive email builds using Klaviyo's template editor and custom HTML/CSS when needed
- Build and maintain lifecycle flows including welcome series, post-purchase education, winback, churn prevention, subscription management, and re-engagement sequences
- Execute the campaign calendar end-to-end: pull briefs, build emails, QA across devices and clients, schedule, and deploy on time
- Manage audience segmentation and list hygiene to optimize deliverability and engagement
- Set up and monitor A/B tests on subject lines, send times, content, and CTAs; report results back to the team
- Collaborate with the creative and content teams to ensure email content aligns with IM8's premium brand standards and voice
- Proactively flag opportunities to improve flows, templates, or processes based on performance data and industry best practices
- Support the retention strategy team with data pulls, cohort snapshots, and campaign performance reporting as needed
Requirements
- 2–4+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying emails in Klaviyo (flows and campaigns)
- Strong proficiency in Figma—able to navigate design files, extract assets, and translate designs into builds accurately
- Solid understanding of HTML/CSS for email (tables-based layouts, inline styles, responsive media queries)
- Experience with DTC / e-commerce subscription brands, ideally in health, wellness, CPG, or supplement verticals
- An eye for great design and content—you know what a high-performing, on-brand email looks like and can articulate why
- Highly organized and detail-obsessed: zero tolerance for broken links, typos, or misaligned layouts going out the door
- Familiarity with email deliverability fundamentals (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, list hygiene, warm-up protocols)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment with clear deadlines and minimal hand-holding
Nice to Have
- Experience working with or alongside a retention marketing agency
- Familiarity with Shopify, Recharge, or similar subscription platforms
- Exposure to SMS marketing strategy and execution within Klaviyo
- Understanding of subscription lifecycle metrics (LTV, churn rate, cohort analysis, MRR)
- Experience with Klaviyo's API, custom properties, and advanced segmentation logic
- Portfolio or examples of past email builds you're proud of
