Drive strategic financial insights for a global clinical research leader. ICON is seeking a Financial Analyst II in Chennai to provide crucial financial partnership and analysis to our Support Department leaders. In this role, you will transform complex data into actionable insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and play a key role in strategic decision-making that helps ICON achieve its global objectives.
Key Responsibilities
You will serve as a financial partner to business leaders, providing the analysis and reporting needed to guide strategic decisions.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis for Support Department leaders.
- Conduct detailed variance research by analyzing GL and transactional-level details to explain performance drivers.
- Produce detailed headcount reports and KPI analysis for all business planning initiatives.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual budget.
- Help develop long-term financial plans for support departments.
- Gather and track business requirements, providing impact assessments and identifying gaps.
Strategic Support:
- Analyze and translate data into key strategic inputs to drive executive decision-making.
- Support the development of new financial management initiatives and projects.
- Work on high-level ad-hoc projects while maintaining routine reporting responsibilities.
Your Profile
Essential Qualifications:
- Fully or semi-qualified CA, ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in an industry financial role with financial analysis responsibilities.
- Excellent Excel knowledge and comfort working with large datasets.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles combined with strong business acumen.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships with Executive and Senior Business Leaders.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative, multi-task, and perform well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with financial systems (Oracle, Hyperion, PowerPoint is an advantage).
