Job Description: Production Planner
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Production Planner to join our dynamic team. You will be the critical link between customer demand and production execution, responsible for creating feasible production schedules, managing ETD commitments, and ensuring optimal inventory levels. Your role is central to balancing customer expectations with manufacturing capacity in our high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: The Hub of Manufacturing Coordination
You will ensure seamless alignment between sales, production, and logistics through precise planning and daily coordination.
Core Planning & Scheduling:
- Plan customer demand according to product requirements and derive the monthly production schedule for dipping plants.
- Commit accurate Estimated Time of Delivery (ETD) based on capacity availability and firm sales orders in the AX system (Microsoft Dynamics AX).
- Provide desirable ETDs for customer enquiries and manage any required delays through discussion with Sales & Marketing.
Daily Operations & Inventory Management:
- Input and verify daily production output data in product spreadsheets.
- Conduct daily discussions with Quality Control (QCP), Shipping, and Packaging on shipment status and attend weekly shipping meetings.
- Track daily inventory movement (WIP and temporary packing) and submit monthly inventory summaries to senior management.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing team on advance packaging delivery for special production runs and work closely with Compounding on raw material planning.
Who You Are: The Organized & Analytical Coordinator
You are a detail-oriented professional who thrives on creating order, solving scheduling puzzles, and collaborating across departments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in production planning, demand planning, or manufacturing scheduling within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a significant advantage.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high data accuracy.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to effectively liaise with Sales, Production, Quality, and Logistics teams.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain coordination.
Education:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
