We are seeking a visionary Lead Software Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in SC Discovery—a strategic program shaping the future of ResMed’s global supply chain. This is not merely an implementation role; it is about defining the architectural north star, designing principles, and building the technical foundation for a supply chain that is intelligent, integrated, and resilient for the next decade.
The Opportunity: SC Discovery Program
SC Discovery is the critical strategic phase within ResMed’s Ignite program. Your focus will be to architect the future-state technology landscape—defining capabilities, integration patterns, and governance models—before any application is selected. You will ensure seamless alignment between business strategy and technology, creating a scalable, compliant, and intelligent supply chain ecosystem.
You will lead across six core architectural enablers:
- Integration Layer: Design event-driven architectures using Oracle Integration Cloud and API-first principles.
- Observability & Reliability: Establish multi-level dashboards, automated alerts, and self-healing mechanisms.
- Security & Compliance: Embed RBAC, encryption, audit trails, and cloud validation (GAMP 5) into every solution.
- Planning & Decision Support: Enable AI-driven insights, digital twin simulation, and operational intelligence.
- IT/OT Enablement: Architect factory network resilience and shop-floor integration for smart automation.
- Custom Development: Guide and assess custom .NET integrations and extensions within the MES landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture & Leadership
- Define and own the architectural north star for ResMed’s supply chain, guiding all subsequent solution selection and integration.
- Establish a structured capability roadmap and taxonomy for supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and data/AI domains.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis to assess current systems and design the high-value future state for the next five years.
- Provide technical direction, make key architectural decisions, and ensure solutions adhere to enterprise design principles.
Technical Design & Execution
- Drive integration strategy using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), event-driven architecture, and RESTful APIs.
- Establish observability and reliability standards, including dashboards, automated alerting, and continuity frameworks.
- Ensure security and compliance by design across all integrations and SaaS platforms.
- Support IT/OT enablement for factory automation, network resilience, and smart sequencing.
- Comprehend and extend the existing .NET MES codebase, providing architectural oversight and hands-on guidance.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate closely with Domain Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
- Lead technical discussions with platform teams across ResMed to standardize and extend the global tech stack.
- Advocate for code quality, engineering standards, and a culture of continuous improvement within development teams.
- Report into and align with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team on all strategic technical decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Minimum 5 years as a Solution Architect / Technical Architect, with at least 3 years in a custom development environment.
- Hands-on experience with React, NodeJS, and .NET frameworks.
- Proven expertise with AWS cloud services and databases.
- Strong working understanding of Agile methodologies and iterative delivery.
- Experience in solution enhancement, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience with K2, Docker, ECS, or EKS.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
- Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or healthcare technology.
- Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and event-driven design patterns.
