We are seeking a passionate UX Design Intern to join our team for a 13-week immersive experience in Sydney. This isn't just another design internship; you will contribute to the digital tools that physicians, sleep clinics, and healthcare systems use daily to manage patient health. You'll see your designs make a tangible difference in the world of connected health.
Your Internship Mission: Design for Real Impact
As a UX Design Intern on our Provider Software team, you will be embedded within a cross-functional squad, collaborating directly with product managers, engineers, and senior designers. You will apply your skills to real projects that enhance the usability and accessibility of software used by medical professionals.
What You Will Do:
- Tackle Real-World Problems: Design intuitive user flows and new interface features for complex healthcare software, directly addressing the needs of physicians and sleep lab technicians.
- Master Professional Tools: Utilize Figma at an expert level to create low-to-high-fidelity prototypes, leveraging auto layout, variables, and interactive components to build scalable designs.
- Contribute to a Unified System: Help evolve our global design system by creating robust components and variants, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all our provider-facing platforms.
- Translate Insights into Action: Synthesize user research findings to inform your design concepts and present your work clearly, articulating the rationale behind your decisions to stakeholders.
About You: The Ideal Candidate
You are a design student who is not only skilled in craft but also curious about how technology can solve complex human problems in a meaningful context.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, HCI, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
- A foundational understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual hierarchy.
- Proven experience designing and prototyping in Figma, with a demo reel or portfolio that showcases your process and finished work.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team.
- Available to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2025 in our Sydney (Bella Vista) office in a hybrid model (~2-3 days per week on-site).

- Knowledge of the latest UI trends and a strong commitment to accessibility standards (WCAG).
