With over 1500 employees, we deliver full-spectrum clinical trial solutions powered by two decades of expertise, innovative technologies, and a commitment to quality.
Delivering the best accomplished by hiring the best. We are looking for qualified, energetic individuals with a desire for excellence to join our team.
The Role
We are seeking a skilled and independent Scientist to join our Process Sciences group, focusing on monoclonal antibody (mAb) upstream process development. In this hands-on laboratory role, you will independently plan and execute aseptic cell culture and bioreactor experiments to develop and optimize upstream processes for clinical-grade drug substances. Your technical expertise will be critical in advancing our clients' biologics pipeline.
Job Details: Technical Execution & Development
You will be the technical expert responsible for executing core upstream development activities with a high degree of proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aseptic Cell Culture Operations: Demonstrate skilled and highly proficient aseptic handling for mammalian cell culture.
- Bioreactor Process Development: Independently operate disposable mini-bioreactors (AMBR 15/250), glass lab bioreactors (5L, 10L), and shake flasks for clone/media/feed screening and process optimization.
- Process Scale-Up & Analysis: Perform upstream process optimization at laboratory scale. Work proficiently with automated bioanalyzers and cell counters for in-process analysis.
- Experimental Design & Documentation: Apply knowledge of basic Design of Experiments (DOE), data trending, and analysis. Ensure meticulous documentation and QA compliance for data presentation.
- GLP/GMP Understanding: Develop mAb upstream processes with an understanding of GLP/GMP suite requirements for clinical-grade production.
- Media & Buffer Preparation: Prepare media, feeds, supplements, and perform sterile filtration.
Who You Are: The Hands-On Process Developer
You are a technically driven scientist with a solid foundation in mammalian cell culture and a passion for hands-on laboratory work.
Your Profile:
Education:
- M.Sc / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or an equivalent field.
Experience:
- 2 to 6 years of direct, hands-on experience developing mAb upstream processes from mammalian cell lines within a biopharma, biotech, or relevant CRO/CDMO environment.
- Must-have hands-on experience with:
- AMBR 15 and/or AMBR 250 systems.
- Disposable and glass laboratory-scale bioreactors (5L, 10L).
- Aseptic cell culture techniques.
- Understanding of basic DOE principles and data analysis.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in leading a small team within an upstream processing unit.
