Support Our China Workforce: Bilingual HR Advisor Role in Melbourne
CSL has an exciting opportunity for a Mandarin-speaking HR Advisor to join our high-performing askHR team. Based at our state-of-the-art Headquarters in the Melbourne CBD, you will be the primary HR support contact for our employees and managers in China. Working an 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift to align with China business hours, you will provide accurate advice and solutions, ensuring a seamless HR experience for our growing team in this key region.
Your Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, HR Service Centre, you will handle HR enquiries via calls, chats, and cases related to the employee life-cycle, policies, and systems. Your fluency in Mandarin and English, combined with your HR operational knowledge, will be essential in delivering exceptional service and building trust with our China-based colleagues.
Your Role: Deliver Frontline HR Support for China
You will be the vital link for HR services, providing first-level resolution and guidance tailored to the China employee context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to HR Enquiries in Mandarin & English: Provide accurate and timely solutions to employee and manager queries from China, utilising HR policies, Enterprise Agreements, and knowledge articles.
- System Guidance & Transactions: Guide employees in using HR systems (Workday, Kronos) and conduct day-to-day transactional processing in Workday as required.
- Documentation & Record Keeping: Prepare and issue HR documentation (e.g., contracts, letters). Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential records in the case management system (ServiceNow).
- Continuous Improvement: Identify trends and opportunities for process improvements to enhance support for the China region.
- Escalation Management: Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 Specialists or the HR Service Centre Manager appropriately.
Your Experience: The Bilingual HR Professional
You are a customer-focused HR professional with shared services experience and the language skills to support our China workforce.
Essential:
- Fuent in verbal and written Mandarin and English.
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in HR or HR Shared Services operations, with a focus on administering Workday or similar HR system transactions.
- Experience managing high-volume HR enquiries, including interpreting HR policies and Enterprise Agreements (EBAs).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills.
- Ability to work the 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM AEST shift.
Desirable:
- Experience with case management tools like ServiceNow.
- Understanding of HR practices in China.
