The Position
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Team Lead to oversee all aspects of our specialized, high-compliance warehouse operations. This pivotal role involves managing complex material logistics (including hazardous raw materials), ensuring strict cGMP and regulatory compliance, and driving the performance and development of the warehouse team. You will be the operational and compliance anchor for our logistics chain within a biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Your Mission: Ensure Flawless, Compliant Logistics Execution
You will be responsible for the compliant execution and continuous optimization of our end-to-end warehouse and material logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics and cGMP Operations Management
- Establish, manage, and optimize processes for raw material, intermediate, and finished product logistics (shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory control).
- Execute material logistics within a cGMP environment, including the handling of hazardous raw materials.
- Plan daily operations, perform accurate SAP data entry, oversee inventory checks/cycle counts, and manage material returns/rejections.
2. Compliance, Quality & Inspection Leadership
- Lead efforts to maintain continuous warehouse inspection readiness.
- Initiate and manage Change Requests, Discrepancies, and CAPAs related to Warehouse operations.
- Act as the primary Warehouse representative during regulatory and compliance inspections (e.g., HSA, FDA).
- Ensure strict adherence to cGMPs, local regulations, and Roche Global Warehouse policies.
3. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, motivate, and mentor direct reports to achieve departmental goals.
- Establish, maintain, and report on critical Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage performance planning and ensure completion of all GMP training for warehouse staff.
4. Continuous Improvement & SHE
- Lead significant warehouse improvement projects and foster a Lean and continuous improvement culture.
- Ensure full compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) requirements, taking ownership of safety initiatives.
Who You Are: The Operational & Compliance Expert
You are a leader with deep operational expertise in a regulated environment and a relentless focus on quality and safety.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Logistics & Supply Chain, or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years of related working experience. Prior experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment is required.
- Must have a working knowledge of cGMP concepts and guidelines.
- Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is essential.
- Hands-on forklift operator training/certification is desired.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to analyze reports and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for effective cross-functional interaction and inspection leadership.
- Ability to work in a cooperative team environment with flexibility for overtime as required.
