The Opportunity
As the Integrated Planning & Inventory Manager, APAC, you will play a critical leadership role in orchestrating the end-to-end planning lifecycle. You will ensure the accuracy of regional demand forecasts, optimize inventory to balance service levels with cost, and lead the capability building of affiliate planning teams. This role is central to our mission of delivering life-changing medicines and diagnostics reliably across the Asia-Pacific region.
Your Mission: Orchestrate Planning Excellence Across APAC
You will be the regional anchor for planning processes, driving forecast accuracy, inventory health, and team competency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demand Planning & Forecasting Leadership
- Oversee the preparation of robust APAC demand forecasts using historical data, market insights, and statistical models.
- Analyse the impact of commercial activities (PiPo launches, promotions) on demand and collaborate with Market Liaisons to align forecasts with business strategy.
- Monitor forecast accuracy KPIs, driving continuous improvement through root cause analysis.
- Govern affiliate inputs within core planning systems (SAP, OMP).
2. Inventory Management & Optimization
- Maintain full accountability for APAC inventory control, optimizing stock levels to meet target service levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence risk.
- Oversee master data optimization, including safety stock strategies, across the product portfolio.
- Monitor and report on key inventory KPIs (value, turnover, cost of carry).
- Coordinate with affiliates to establish consistent regional inventory strategies and lead process improvement initiatives.
3. Training, Governance & Systems
- Develop and deliver training programs for APAC Demand Planners on forecasting, data analysis, and Roche best practices.
- Co-create standardised learning materials and SOPs with Global Planning and affiliates.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and system adoption, recommending enhancements to upskill the regional network.
- Stay abreast of system enhancements and industry trends to integrate into regional processes.
Who You Are: The Ideal Candidate
You are a strategic planner with deep analytical skills and a passion for developing people and processes.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a related pharmaceutical/medtech supply chain function.
- Demonstrated analytical expertise with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Proficiency in data visualization and building performance dashboards for forecasting and inventory.
- Proven influencing skills to lead consensus across diverse, cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of ERP and advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP, OMP).
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement long-term plans aligned with regional goals.
