EHS Intern (Environmental, Health & Safety) – Gain Hands-On Biopharma Experience in Singapore

Your Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you will support the Singapore Woodlands site by:
- Supporting EHS Operations:
- Assist in monthly site EHS inspections and help prepare inspection schedules.
- Participate in incident investigations to help identify root causes.
- Coordinate Industrial Hygiene (IH) monitoring and Occupational Health (OH) assessments.
- Driving Compliance & Administration:
- Track Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and compliance tasks to closure using our EHS management system (Beacon).
- Assist in maintaining EHS programs to meet both local Singapore regulations and global corporate standards.
- Schedule EHS training sessions and manage logistical support.
- Contributing to a Strong Safety Culture:
- Participate in and document monthly EHS Committee meetings, preparing slide decks and meeting minutes.
- Support the organization of EHS promotion activities, audits, and workshops.
- Perform trend analysis on data from incidents, inspections, and audits.
- Engaging in Continuous Improvement:
- Actively participate in the ongoing enhancement of our Site EHS Management System.
- Adhere to all EHS requirements and model Takeda’s Code of Conduct.
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills)
- Education: Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology, or Workplace Safety and Health (WSH).
- Knowledge: A keen interest in the biopharma industry and a basic understanding of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) principles in Singapore.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Core Competencies:
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to take initiative.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders and work well in a team.
- Independent worker with a strong desire to learn.
