ResMed's Digital Product Engineering team is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to develop cloud-native IoT platforms that manage millions of medical devices worldwide. In this role, you'll work on full-stack product development, from device lifecycle management to real-time therapy analytics, using cutting-edge technologies like AWS serverless and containerization to enhance patient care through innovation.
Key Responsibilities
You will be an integral part of an agile team building scalable, reliable IoT platforms for connected medical devices.
Cloud-Native Development & IoT:
- Develop and deploy multiple-tier applications using technologies like Java, React, and JavaScript for ResMed's IoT device ecosystem.
- Build cloud-native applications using PaaS/IaaS, serverless services (Docker, Lambda, API Gateway), and container technologies.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle of platforms managing device registration, therapy data, and over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Quality & Operational Excellence:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Ensure operational excellence by building reliable, scalable systems that follow standard security best practices.
- Debug, test, and fix issues while maintaining high-quality code standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience in at least one programming language (Java, React, or JavaScript).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of software security and data privacy principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with strong communication skills.
Desired Technical Skills:
- AWS certification or familiarity with public cloud platforms
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and serverless technology
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and Relational Data Services
- Experience with CI/CD tools, Confluence, and JIRA
- Exposure to modern testing tools and messaging platforms
- Knowledge of OpenAI and MCP technologies
