Architect the future of healthcare data analytics. ResMed is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive our Global Data Platform strategy, building scalable data systems that power real-time healthcare insights. In this hybrid role, you'll leverage cutting-edge technologies like Snowflake, dbt, Kafka, and Terraform to design and deliver high-impact analytics products that enable data-driven decision-making across our global organization.
Key Responsibilities
You will be the technical leader for ResMed's data architecture, mentoring engineers and driving innovation in our data platform.
Data Architecture & Engineering:
- Lead the design and development of core data architecture, including sophisticated data models using SQL and dbt on Snowflake.
- Build real-time analytics solutions using Kafka and Flink to enable immediate decision-making capabilities.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform to manage and scale our analytics platforms.
Technical Leadership & Innovation:
- Drive automated deployment using GitHub Actions and optimize CI/CD workflows for data pipelines.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, championing best practices in data engineering and software development.
- Shape data strategy through collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality analytics products.
Your Skills and Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- 10+ years of experience with SQL on large-scale analytics platforms.
- 10+ years in software development (requirements, coding, testing).
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Python, version control, and data pipelines.
- 5+ years managing GitHub repositories and deploying cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with dbt, Dagster, and Snowflake.
- Master's degree in a STEM field.
- 12+ years of related experience in data engineering.
