Build clinical software that transforms patient diagnosis and care. ResMed is seeking a Software Engineer in Sydney to develop our modern web-based applications used by doctors and clinicians worldwide. In this role, you'll work with technologies like C#, ASP.NET, Angular/React, and Docker to create scalable medical device software while exploring AI-assisted development practices that enhance both our development process and patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
You will be a key contributor to clinical web applications that directly impact patient diagnosis and treatment outcomes.
Full-Stack Development & Innovation:
- Design, build, and maintain features for our clinical web platform using C#, ASP.NET, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, NodeJS).
- Expand existing frameworks and implement new products while ensuring code quality through automated unit and integration testing.
- Work across the full stack, from RESTful APIs and Electron desktop applications to front-end interfaces and Docker containerization.
Quality & Performance:
- Ensure application scalability and performance through thoughtful design and optimization.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and follow best practices for deployment.
- Provide production support and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements:
- 2+ years of software engineering experience in a product-based environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid experience with modern object-oriented development; C# and ASP.NET experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, NodeJS) and related technologies (Electron, Docker, RESTful APIs).
- Strong quality mindset with unit testing skills and experience with CI/CD tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS), Kubernetes, and code analysis tools (SonarQube).
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and practices.
