ResMed is seeking a Director of Data and Analytics Engineering to architect and deliver trusted, self-service analytics solutions for our core corporate functions—Finance, Supply Chain, and People. In this strategic leadership role, you will build and lead a high-performing team, drive the adoption of AI-powered data tools, and create an integrated data foundation that enables intelligent decision-making across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
You will be the strategic leader responsible for building the data and analytics foundation that powers ResMed's corporate operations.
Strategic Leadership & AI Innovation:
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for data and analytics engineering, incorporating cloud computing, large-scale data stores (data lakes, warehouses), and AI technologies.
- Act as a thought leader in AI, driving the application of emerging AI-powered data tools to build a foundation for AI-driven experiences.
- Partner with business leaders to identify needs and deliver analytics engineering solutions that enable data-driven decisions.
Team Leadership & Governance:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of managers and data professionals.
- Develop and implement a robust data governance framework to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Collaborate across data, analytics, and technology functions to share best practices and lead the adoption of enterprise technologies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Execution:
- Regularly interact with executives and major customers, negotiating and influencing senior-level leaders on matters of significance.
- Work through ambiguity to drive implementation, demonstrating extreme ownership and end-to-end thinking.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in Data and Analytics Engineering, with deep expertise in Supply Chain or Finance domains.
- Proven expertise with modern data technologies including Snowflake, SQL, dbt, and Python.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of organizational objectives with the ability to look beyond existing methodologies to solve complex problems.
- Practical experience with AI and machine learning applications in a business context.
- Proven ability to lead through adversity and make tough calls with a focus on right outcomes.
