We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Market Access Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this pivotal role, you will be the architect of reimbursement and pricing strategy for Takeda's portfolio in Australia and New Zealand. Your work will directly determine the speed and breadth of patient access to our life-changing medicines, making you a critical link between our innovative pipeline and the community.
Your Mission: Lead Market Access Strategy & Execution
You will own the end-to-end process for securing government reimbursement, from strategic planning to successful submission and post-listing management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Reimbursement Submissions: Independently develop, manage, and execute high-quality Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions to the PBAC (Australia) and PHARMAC (New Zealand), including the management of external consultants and health economic models.
- Develop Pricing & Access Strategy: Formulate and implement robust pricing and market access strategies that align with global objectives while navigating the unique complexities of the ANZ landscape, including rigorous competitor analysis.
- Drive Strategic Initiatives: Identify and execute on strategic opportunities to optimize market access for both inline and pipeline products.
- Stakeholder Influence & Engagement: Proactively build and manage relationships with key external stakeholders (including government bodies, clinical experts, and patient groups) to shape the environment and advance Takeda's value proposition.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and influence small, cross-functional project teams (e.g., Medical, Commercial, Regulatory) to ensure an integrated approach to market access, contributing to the team's knowledge and capabilities.
About You: The Ideal Candidate
You are a proactive market access professional with a proven track record of navigating the ANZ reimbursement landscape and a passion for delivering patient-centric outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Pharmacy, Economics, or a related field. A higher degree (e.g., Master of Public Health, MBA) is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience developing and managing successful HTA submissions in Australia (experience with PHARMAC in New Zealand is a strong plus).
- A solid understanding of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) principles.
- Proven ability to think strategically, manage complex projects, and influence without direct authority.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI and digital tools for data analysis and document efficiency is required.
