Define the Future of Patient Comfort at the Intersection of Hardware and Digital Health
At ResMed, we believe a good night's sleep is fundamental to human health. Our mask products are the critical interface between our life-changing devices and the patients who rely on them every night. We are not just designing medical equipment; we are crafting comfortable, intuitive experiences that empower millions to live healthier lives.
We are seeking a strategic and user-obsessed Associate Product Manager to join our Masks team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of sleep therapy by defining how physical mask hardware and digital solutions work in harmony to improve patient comfort, adherence, and outcomes. Your work will directly impact the core of our business and the daily lives of our users.
Your Mission: Bridge Hardware and Digital to Transform Patient Experience
You will be the voice of the user, responsible for ensuring we build the right mask and digital solutions, build them right, and deliver them to market effectively. You will play a central role in a product that is both a physical necessity and a connected health experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the Connected Mask Strategy: Articulate and champion a clear vision for how digital features (apps, data insights, connectivity) enhance the value of our mask hardware and improve the patient journey.
- Own the Product Lifecycle: Take ownership of a specific mask product or feature set, guiding it from concept and user research through development, launch, and post-market analysis.
- Champion User-Centricity: Conduct and synthesize user research to deeply understand the unmet needs of patients and clinicians, translating these insights into clear product requirements and compelling user stories.
- Drive Cross-Functional Execution: Lead and collaborate with a diverse team of engineers (mechanical, software), designers, clinical specialists, and marketers to deliver a seamless and superior product experience.
- Inform the Roadmap: Use a combination of user data, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to inform the product roadmap and prioritize features that deliver maximum user and business value.
About You: The Ideal Candidate
You are a product thinker who gets excited by complex problems and thrives at the intersection of physical and digital product development.
Required Qualifications:
- A proven passion for user-centric design and creating products that solve real human problems.
- Demonstrable product management experience, from internships and associate roles to more senior levels. We are considering candidates from Associate to part-time Senior PM.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-informed decisions and articulate a clear product rationale.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority across engineering, design, and marketing.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Experience or deep interest in hardware, medical devices, or digital health.
- Familiarity with working in regulated environments (e.g., FDA, ISO standards).
- A background in sleep health, respiratory care, or a related therapeutic area.
Why This Role is a Unique Career Opportunity:
- Impact at Scale: The masks you help build are used by millions of people worldwide. Your work directly affects patient comfort and therapy adherence every single night.
- Master a Complex Domain: Become an expert in a unique field that blends industrial design, software, clinical science, and consumer psychology.
- Autonomy and Growth: This role reports directly to the Group Product Manager, offering high visibility and mentorship. You will have the autonomy to shape product strategy and see your ideas come to life.
- Join a Mission-Driven Leader: Be part of a global company that is the undisputed leader in sleep health, with a culture that is both challenging and deeply supportive.
If you are a product-minded individual excited by the challenge of creating tangible, life-improving products, we need you on our team.
